We started this adventure in August of this year (2009). The plan is to spend the first 6 weeks in Spain, and after a brief interlude back in the U.S., spend October - mid December in South America. Read our posts to find out more.
Hoorah!!! I'm so proud of you both! Welcome sweet baby girl. That dimple is amazing.
ReplyDeleteWell done!!
Wonderful details of the story of Serena's birth! Enjoyed every minute of being there when Nana got the surprise of her life that her first grandchild, Serena, was born while she was out of the country! But glad we did not know about the birth until we were back on American soil! Congratulations to Mom and Dad and the awesome job Kari did in birthing this precious little girl. Can't wait to meet my new grand niece!

ReplyDeletecongrats! congrats! Welcome baby Serena! You are so beautiful, just like your parents. Kari, amazing job, very very impressive. Coach Chad, also amazing, just not in the small human wanting to get out into the world from small opening, kind of way. I would also like to thank Dr. Duffy, the labor and delivery nurses, and Doula Kristin Abboud. Thank you for sharing your expertise, love and patience to Kari, Chad, and Serena to allow them to have such a wonderful experience. Well done!

Dear Kari and Chad,
ReplyDeleteHow exciting!! I am so looking forward to meeting Serena! What a beautiful name and a precious girl, for the most amazing couple.
Kari - I love that you were wearing a tie-dyed shirt in one of the pictures; coupled with the commentary regarding you, the orchid flower, and natural childbirth, it made me start singing the GD lyrics "Sugar magnolia, blossoms blooming..." while reading the blog. :) You remain the kind, wonderful, strong, and beautiful friend that I met more than 10 years ago. You make the world a better place by simply being you.
Chad - thanks for being as awesome and supportive as ever. You have a heart of gold!
All my love to you three!!! Can't wait to see you this summer.
